Hot off the circuitboards of members of MEL community using MEL equipment, with one track using gear from MESS (the Melbourne version of MEL), MEL Volume 3 includes unreleased sounds from Kraus, JIM-S, Nāda Labyrinth, Neil Feather and more. With tantalising cover art made by Sophie Sutherland featuring MEL gadget 006 Phillip K. Duck!

MEL (Musical Electronics Library) provides sound makers in Tāmaki Makaurau with access to invented and donated electronic instruments - including mixers, drum machines, synths, field recorders, effects pedals and more, showcased on the MEL compilations. The MEL is a community makerspace that encourages engagement in DIY electronics - from making and repairing to wild experiments in sound. Joining M.E.L is easy, and all items are loaned for free to take home for use in music making, sound experiments, composition, recording or practise.

All proceeds from the compilation go towards sustaining and expanding the lending library.
